COMQUAT HAS WIND IN ITS SAILS

Upon her arrival last June to head COMQUAT, Julie Legault took the bull by the horns. First, she had to consolidate her work team: recruit a new course instructor in francization and reallocate the administrative tasks. All this needed to be done in time for the start of the fall session. Mission accomplished!

The number of learners currently enrolled in literacy is expected to reach a record level this year! Meanwhile, we had to replace our computerized equipment and acquire new accounting software. These indispensable management tools will be used for new projects that are underway to completely revitalize COMQUAT’s image, starting with our logo’s fresh new look.

The first major project was to redesign our website, making it simpler, more concise and effective. It also contains more imagery since it is intended for a clientele with limited reading and writing abilities. We also want to have a greater presence in social media. Secondly, COMQUAT is about to undertake a strategic planning process with SUMAÉ to identify how our services are perceived. Do they meet the expectations and needs of the community?

This approach will inevitably help us to realign our mission and to adopt an action plan for the months, if not the years, to come. There is a lot of work ahead, but we have the wind in our sails!
